i'm popeye the sailor man...

hello world!

i'm actually doing some research on cooling towers right now, but why not just post a little something here for a while haha.

CCN day was quite a success for me and a great day. sold waffles, rootbeer/coke float and cheese hotdogs. well, there were some friction, but it went quite well. the best thing is that we earned 140 bucks in just 4 hours!

and what better way to end the day with Sambateria practice. it never failed to make me move to the groove and relief all the stress. its feels good to forget all your worries for a while and just let go, hitting the drums, having fun with the whole band.

saturday was really good even when there's no soccer match to watch.
went to school to study with sweetie sweetie and had a fine time there.
but the highlight of the week came at night.

sweetie sweetie joined my family for dinner at popeyes.
what a great feeling to see all of them, the heroes, sharing a table, having dinner together.
so that's all i've got to share for now!
hope the laptop comes tomorrow, no more hickups.

Goodnight world :)

scars make us stronger for life...

hello world. well that title up there is just a song by corrinne may. a very nice song by a very talented singer. see, i support local talents!haha. since i've havent been updating my blog for a while, let me just post what i can for now haha. well, i've got my accounting book and ps&lp pbl stuffs waiting.
Hey! my batter worked! i've been making it as pancakes the whole weekend. it tasted ok, but i like the texture. then we tried making the real thing, WAFFLES, using the 'war-torn-ed' waffle maker borrowed from itas. the first ever try was a nightmare cos we didnt heat up the iron enough. the second try was a success! and the rest followed. so here we come CCN DAY!!! for those of you reading this blog, do come and support us. its very cheap! just a dollar with peanut butter/bluberry/kaya toppings, $1.50 with nutella and 2 bucks with ice cream. yum yum yum!! and we are also gonna be selling ROOT BEER FLOAT!!! do come down.

now this section would be for fariz. he got his driving license last week. got a ride home that day. its a smooth ride for a new driver ;) thanks for the ride btw!haha.

liverpool vs birmingham later at around 4am. they better win this time!
before i end this post and start doing my work, just wanted to tell Nurul Nabila Bte Azman that i love her so so so much :)

BYE BYE WORLD!!!

honey, the sinks not working...

hello!
hello!
hello!
gosh, i havent been updating for a while now.
lots have happened since. entered a 7-a-side soccer tournament, school started, cooked breakfast together with sweetiesweetie, 500 days of summer, sambateria and lots more that i either cant remember or just lazy to type them.

first off, liverpool.
4 defeats in a row. enough said. well, being a childhood fan of liverpool, i've certainly gotten through quite a number of this actually. i'm still a red, and will always be one. those anti-liverpool can brag all they want in my face. but come on, i'm still a fan. its not as if its my fault that they win or lose. i just hope they would get it right soon. it'll be great if it comes this sunday though :P

now let's move to the 7-a-side tournament.
its organized by standard chartered. my uncle called in about 3 or 4 days before the tournament. so i got me to panic mode in preparation and getting back my fitness cos i havent played for 2 months! so, my first match, in my opinion was bad. i had to play in defense and i made the captain panic for dribbling too much. well i manage to get one assist. but it wasnt a good game for me. thankfully, the following matches got better. we won all three matches in the group stage including beating the defending champs. but we lost in the quater-final, 0-1. all in all, i got to score 1, pulled 2 assists and scratches on both of my knees haha. and probably some credit for being the youngest and not the biggest on the pitch hahaha. but seriously, seeing their aggression, i cant imagine how the premier league is.

now, 5oo days of summer.
i wont talk much about it. cos you can go to nabby's blog to read her review to the movie.
all i'm going to say is that its a nicely done movie with a creative plot and cool soundtracks.

school started,
got accounting as cds. what good timing.
its been a fine start so far.

so i guess all i'm gonna do now is look forward to kicking the ball about with fariz
and the big match tomorrow.

bye bye world :)

ah ah ah chooofhndjbaldifdsjfa........

knock, knock!
wouw, my blog's getting kinda dusty. the last post was dated 19 september!
that was like almost a month ago.
looooots of things have happened.
hari raya mania, typhoon followed by flood and landslides in the phillipines, quake in indonesia, fusion percussion's debut performance, sambateria's first ever busking session, samabate-raya and lots more. i've also been very impressed with sebastian vettel's driving. dang, he looked so deadly with the redbull. imagine him driving a better car. a man to watch, without a doubt.
well the thing that hindered me from blogging the most was the 5 days wait for the computer upgrading. it ended up not much of a thing. just added some ram.
so so so disappointed that there's no slot for a graphic card. if not for that, i'd be enjoying PES 2009 soooooo much.
so yeah, school starts in a week, cool upcoming performances for both fp and sambateria, recce-ing for shirt shop with sweetie sweetie and beda before carrying out a misson later ;)

till then, have a nice day world!

SELAMAT HARI RAYA WORLD!!!!

10.9.09

Liverpool FC 09/10 Squad Picture....

so here's what i've been eagerly waiting for, for quite a while now...

front-seat of disaster...

i was at a bus-stop with my sister after a quick trip to Geylang to get some stuff for hari raya. then i heard a woman shouting which was quickly followed by the sound of a vehicle braking and honking at the same time. i was looking down most of the times as it was quite a hot and the sunlight was giving a glare. so i looked up and saw a lorry almost skidding and just a few metres in-front of it, an old woman, dashing across the road. she didnt manage to get out of the way, but the lorry did,
only to have the side mirror of the lorry to smack the old woman's skull.
the impact tossed her for a couple of metres and she laid flat on the road.
a man then rushed to the road to carry the old woman while some were busy discussing what happened, shocked and tried to call the ambulance.
the driver of the lorry got off his seat, out of the lorry and checked the condition of the old woman.
another woman from across the road, i believe her daughter, broke into tears and shouted for help before getting to the other side of the road, where the old woman was lying on a grass patch.
a little puddle of blood could be seen on the road that made me think,
is this a reminder, a lesson to us?
that life can just change even before we can snap our fingers, that being careless can kill.
you might be happily shopping with your family one minute. on the other, you might find yourself lying down on the road - that's if you're lucky.
so let's treasure what we have now, all our heroes, all the people that had made a great impact in our lives. let's appreciate them, and ourselves. like people say, better be save than sorry. biar lambat asal selamat and many many others that mean the same thing.
ponder upon it.

scraped through...

Liverpool managed to scrape through with a 2-3 win against Bolton last night. It would have been an exhibition match for the Reds had they taken their chances. Bolton took the lead first. Glen Johnson then equalised through a nice shot from the edge of the penalty box, slotting in his second for the club. the home team scored again but it was later equalised again by El Nino. Liverpool were then hunting for another goal and they got one, Captain Fantastic, with a great volley, scoring the winner. Once again, Lucas Leiva started the match and surprisingly stayed on the field for the full 90 minutes and once again we sucked in the middle, i have to admit. During the first half, Bolton played a really frustrating tactic - man marking. Fabrice Muamba was following Gerrard everywhere he goes. I call that a coward tactic! Gerrard didnt have much influnce in the game. That, THAT! was the time for another CENTRE MIDFIELD to step up. and who was there? the "great" lucas. i totally believe that Benitez is trying too hard to make lucas look like a good signing. hey, not in the premier league. i was even surprised to see good reviews of him on the NewPaper yesterday. LUCAS LEIVA IS NOT PREMIER LEAGUE STUFF! you want to call him the Gerrard of Brazil? Put him in the championship. or throw him to Leeds United. Be a hero there and bring Leeds back to the top flight. Benitez took out Albert Riera, Dirk Kuyt and even Javier Mascherano last night. you mean lucas was playing better than masch in the middle last night. oh my god, get him a new pair of glasses please.

sidenote: i really miss alonso :(

oh you know its been so long...

gosh, i havent updated my blog for ages now. exams exams exams. i wonder how many hours i spent studying in the room and singing like a mad man. now i'm like a man who just came out from the jungle. i've got no clue what's happening, what's on tv. i can easily say that i watched tv for like barely 2 to 3 hours the past week or so. now, its time to say...

hell hell hell yeah, its time for fun, games, music, family, friends and all the things that's been lacking right now ;)

microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis...

yeah! ndp was a blast last night! chapter 1 was not bad, chapter 5 was fun!
and i got a hand shake plus a hug from syed ahmad ;) hahahaha, i'm kidding sayang :)
well, he did that to everyone to thank and congratulate us.

so now, let's talk about something, long overdue, KOP COMES TO SINGAPORE!!!!
it was really really really a dream come true for me. having supported Liverpool since i was 8, but knowing nothing at all, till now, knowing most of the fan chant and more of the illustrious history of the club. it was a day i've always hoped for. to watch the Liverpool team play, in front of my own eyes! but i also got a bonus, the whole kallang stadium was transformed into Anfield. what a wonderful atmosphere it was. tens of thousands of Liverpool fans singing their hearts out, the words of You'll Never Walk Alone said with full of passion and pride. for the first time, i came to a soccer match 5 hours before kick off, and hell yeah, i got a good spot.

i got to see my heroes warming up right infront of me, RIGHT. there were just a few metres away from me, A FEW METRES!!! i saw FERNANDO 'EL NINO' TORRES, XABI ALONSO, PEPE REINA, DIRK KUYT, ALBERT RIERA, EMILLIANO INSUA, KRISZTIAN NEMETH, DANI PACHECO, JAY SPEARING, ANDREA DOSSENA and a few more, A FEW METRES AWAY FROM ME. well i saw the others, like JAMIE CARRAGHER, GLEN JOHNSON, JAVIER MASCHERANO, YOSSI BENAYOUN, MARCUS BABEL, ANDRIY VORONIN, DAVID N'GOG. but they were a bit further. well i saw RAFA BENITEZ and SAMMY LEE too! gosh, it was indescribeable to see all of them, with my own eyes.

so now, let's bring in the pictures....

some pics from the press...

it was Xabi's last game for us :'( what a blow for us. he is surely irreplaceable. but we can find a good replacement. the man who can score from the halfway line, who have wow-ed me and inspired me so much with his pin-point, world class passes, the man who scored at Istanbul and help us lift the trophy there. the man who has proved to be one of the best to have worn the Liverpool shirt. The man who have been a favourite among the KOP, whose name is in the KOP chants. the midfield maestro, Xabi Alonso. one of my favourites, and will always be remembered. well, his family is back at home, Spain. Madrid came offering him big money and also meant he can play back at home soil close to his family. who could blame him? well, all the best to him. who knows, he could be back ;)

back to work now, ET Report!

ps: 3 more days sayang! :):):).....I LOVE YOU!!!
