meeting the folks...

hello there world, if you're listening.
wow, i've neglected my blog for quite a while.
so let's get started!

two weekends back was a really interesting period for me as i got to bond with sweetie sweetie's family. not her FAMILY, but FAMILY. you know, her cousins, aunties and grandparents. it all started on the saturday, after we went for the uniSIM open house. well the open house was really irrelevant for a chemical engineering student like me, but i did learn a few things from it. well, the climax of the day was when nabby's parents invited me to join them to her grandparent's house. it was an honour really to get such an invitation. it meant a lot to me and i'm sure to her too. well, its nice to see a grandfather, even though it wasnt mine. you know, i've never get to grow up having a grandfather with me. all i've always had and, alhamdulillah, still have is my one and only grandmother. its just that feeling that i cant explain. well, both her grandparents looked nice. it was just a short visit, so i didnt get to talk much to them. just got to exchange a few words.

and here comes sunday, the day after that. i'm going to ugama with nabby, together with some of her cousins and aunts. the journey there really wears you down. you're tired even before it starts. so yeah, when we reach there, we were immediately served with breakfast by her obek, who bought so much food!haha. obek sukma, was nice and quite humorous. they're kinda loud sometimes and also funny. nice people to be with. so, ugama was cool. seriously, i liked it so so much cos we studied history of nabi muhammad that day. which was the best thing that i could with for. its amazing that i learned so much in just two hours. even though i had some knowledge on it already, the ustazah just told it from an angle that i've never heard from before. and and and, i'm participating in the upcoming maulud/maulid rasul. initially, i was only playing music for the marhaban. but now, i'm going to be the host! my oh my, i've never thought i'd do this. but i would now. it was an offer that i can hardly turn down to be honest as i've never done it before. but i'd love to try it. we'll see how it goes this 21st!
